Things God Will Never Ask

Photo Credit: Alex Proimos, Australia via Wikimedia Commons

Many of us enjoy many good things in life and we have been blessed beyond measure. The question is…what do we do with our blessings and how mindful are we to help others? I believe that someday we will all be accountable regarding the gifts, talents, and abilities that we have been given. There are some things that we can know for sure that God will ask us when we stand before God someday…but here are some things that God WILL NEVER ask…

God won't ask what kind of car you drove…He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

God won't ask the square footage of your house…He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet…He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

God won't ask what your highest salary was…He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

God won't ask what your job title was…He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

God won't ask how many friends you had…He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived…He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won't ask about the color of your skin…He'll ask about the content of your character.
God won't ask how much food you ate…He’ll ask you how much you did to feed others.
God won’t ask how famous you are…He’ll ask what you did with what was given to you.
So, take time each day to think about how you can help other people with the things that you have been blessed. It will enhance their life…and yours!

The Power of Love and Anger

The Power of Love and Anger
While a man was polishing his car, his 4 year old son picked up a rock and started to scratch lines onto the sides of his car. In anger, the man took the child’s hand and began hitting it several times; not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all of his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father…with painful eyes he asked, “Dad, when will my fingers grow back?” The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and started to kick it several times.

Devastated by his own actions…sitting in front of his car he looked at the scratches…his son had written. His son had scratched the words “I LOVE YOU DAD.” The next day the man committed suicide.

Anger and Love have no limits and are both very powerful emotions. Here are several things that we should always remember…
THINGS are to be USED and PEOPLE are to be LOVED, but the problem in today’s world is that PEOPLE are USED and THINGS are LOVED.
Let’s be careful to keep this thought in mind; THINGS are to be USED, but PEOPLE need to be LOVED.
Do you LOVE THINGS more and USE PEOPLE or do you LOVE PEOPLE more and USE THINGS?

Watch your THOUGHTS; they become WORDS.
Watch your WORDS; they become ACTIONS.
Watch your ACTIONS they become HABITS.
Watch your HABITS; they become your CHARACTER.
Watch your CHARACTER; it becomes your DESTINY.

Be A Person with Character

There is a terrific definition of the word Character that I once heard that is simply awesome…”Character is what you are when nobody else is around.” The following little message lists some great things that we can remember each day to help us become people of character.

Be A Person with Character
~ Author Unknown ~
Be someone who listens, and you will be heard.
Be someone who cares, and you will be loved.
Be Someone who gives, and you will be blessed.
Be someone who comforts, and you will know peace.
Be someone who genuinely seeks to understand, and you will be wise.
Be someone kind, someone considerate, and you will be admired.
Be someone who values truth, and you will be respected.
Be someone who takes action, and you will move life forward.
Be someone who lifts others higher, and your life will be rich.

Be someone filled with gratitude,
and there will be no end to the things for which you’ll be thankful.
-------------------------
Be someone who lives with joy, with purpose, as your own light brightly shines.

Be, in every moment, the special someone you are truly meant to be!!
